As book lovers, Book Boys believes that books are not made to be disposed of—they are made to be read, collected, shared, and displayed. We strive to find a home for every book, and we "recycle" as much as possible worth of used books in Arlington, VA each year.
At Book Boys, our mission is to ensure every book finds a new purpose and continues to make a difference. Each year, we rehome or repurpose thousands of pounds of books through various channels. Every time we match a book with a new owner, it’s a meaningful victory. We also support local book clubs in Arlington, VA by providing resources and books to enhance their reading experiences.
In addition, we contribute by donating books in bulk to schools, global charities, and other unique projects. Our book donation stickers help recipients understand the impact of their new reads. It’s our way of ensuring that books reach individuals and communities who might not otherwise have access to them.
For the books we can’t sell or donate, we focus on sustainability by recycling them responsibly. Every year, we recycle nearly 100,000 pounds of paper, cardboard, and other materials. Additionally, much of our shelving and storage solutions have been reclaimed from libraries and bookstores, and the generous residents of our communities, reinforcing our dedication to reducing waste and promoting reuse. Plus, we offer free book pickup services to make it easier for our community to donate their used books.
